A good bracket & hardware set is cheaper than used OEM latches and you won't have to worry about compatibility. Just make sure you're gentle removing the latches from the hardtop.
That being said, I picked my hardtop up and drove ~4 hours without the side latches and it was quite loud and shaky/unstable compared to after getting the latches installed. It makes the cabin quieter, stiffer, and less creaky. If you have them already it's worth the time/money to get them installed.

Thanks! Soft top has to be folded down to fit a hardtop over it. the soft top could also be removed and only have the hard top. It would be folded down on the rear parcel shelf. It would be obvious just look its not hidden or anything just retracted. Take a picture of the parcel shelf if youre not sure and we will tell you if you have a soft top. .
